Saving the world, one crafty thing at a time

Carnival Reversible Cushion

Here’s an update on the scraps of yarn challenge cushion I have been making. I have completed all the individual blocks…

…and started to stitch them together for the front and back…

…with one panel completed as the back, just the rounds for the border need doing here to make the piece bigger…

…as suggested, I used whip stitch to stitch each together. Not the best photo in the world but you get the gist. From here the front needs to be stitched together and borders adding and finally the two bits fastened to one another (hopefully with a cushion inside, if I can find one).

Scraps of Yarn

I have took up another couple of projects to bust through my stash. It have decided to start the Scraps of Yarn Challenges created by the lovely being over at Creative Crochet. I have started with the reversible cushion and have completed part 1 of the four parts to this particular pattern.

As its a stash buster, its multicoloured however I have pretty much match the colours with the shown pictures in the pattern except for the brighter purple around the edge of the largest square. Its all dk using a 4mm hook.

Moogly CAL update

Again, I forgot to update… bad me Haha. If you haven’t already, then check the page for more yarny goodness on this CAL (thats technically finished but I’m always late to the party anyways). I have so much fun doing all the CALs and different patterns available and I still and will always blame you lovely people with your wonderful patterns, making and writing them, curse you all…hahahaha. You’re all enablers…..

Anyways back to the point, here is the most recent to this CAL

This one is quite ‘lacy’ but hopefully it will stay in its shape and behave itself 🙂

Mystery CAL update

Here are this past weeks squares for this CAL. On the first square, I’m not sure if it should be (everyone else’s seems flat) but the flower has turned out super 3D. I love it haha

Mystery CAL

Here are the next two squares for this CAL. Again, it can be found on FB, along with all the other squares and designers under Mystery Group CAL. It’s fun doing these and I definitely think I will make more squares to make a blanket rather than a lapghan.

All my squares have come out at 5×5″ exactly, except this one…and I did the same thing: used the same yarn, same hook, but nope, bigger square. It’s fine I’m sure I can alter it when joining anyway 🙂

I finally am able to get back to crafting and the us makes me super happy 😄 so the first thing I did was catch up with the Mystery CAL. Here are the squares. The top one is from Friday and the bottom is yesterday’s release.

Not the best photo UN the world but it’ll do 🙂
