Sophie needs her own page 😜 Sophie is a throw/blanket, named Sophie’s Universe should you want one of your very own. She is big, she is beautiful (especially with your favourite colours) and she takes a while but is oh so soft (of course depends on the yarn) and worth it. I’m using James C Brett – Oyster in the colours black, pewter, oyster and white or what I call as black, grey, very pale almost white creamy pink and of course white, with a 5.5 mm hook. Her pattern is available from Look What I Made. Here are a few pictures so far…

This is the first 19 rounds…getting big already.

Now there’s 21 rounds.

This is only the first 23 rounds…there’s more than 100, so it’s going to take some time and a fair bit of yarnage, but she’s going to be great!! As it stands she has a diameter of 20″. Isn’t she gloriously? 😜

Stay tuned for updates.

17/7 – So I carried on with Sophie last night and I finished part 3 (25 rounds) it turns out I really love and get on with the crab stitch (reverse sc) who knew!! I’ve heard a lot about this stitch and mostly negative in how grim it is to do, but for me, I was able to wip it up in no time. In fact I did it faster than the normal sc. So anyways, here she is at a slightly bigger size of 22″ instead of what the pattern states of just shy of 20″ but oh well 😜 haha

Now, I obviously didn’t just complete all this work today but I haven’t updated this page in a while so here it is. Sophie now measures 29.5″ square and is as beautiful as ever. Thus us at the end if part 5. The photos are working from the last update, through part 5 to the end of this part.

And this is the end of part 5. She is so soft and lovely and so big, but there is still so much more to go….onto the next section 🙂
